How is Pecos Valley different from other agencies?

Our agency is governed and led by its members. As members, we collectively own the organization’s vehicles and equipment, and we make the decisions that shape its direction – who leads, what services we offer (or choose not to offer), how we allocate resources, and how and with whom we cooperate. In short, nearly every aspect of Pecos Valley Public Services is determined by the people who serve within it.

Most importantly, our members decide who joins the organization. Membership is not simply a title, it represents responsibility, trust, and a shared commitment to the standards and vision we uphold.

We built Pecos Valley from the ground up. Through dedication and hard work, we acquired the equipment, secured the required licenses, and developed the capabilities necessary to provide the services our community needs. Along the way, we were told that a group of volunteers could not build and sustain an independent EMS agency. We proved otherwise.

Today, we are helping shape a new model of community-based medical response. We have earned the trust of local organizations, state authorities, and private partners who support our work and provide the funding that allows us to continue growing responsibly.
