Thank you for considering volunteering with Pecos Valley Public Services.

We are a State of New Mexico licensed Medical Rescue and Community EMS agency, operating as an independent, volunteer-driven 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. We are not affiliated with any local, state, or federal government entity, we serve our community through the commitment of our volunteers.

While we are fully trained and equipped to provide emergency medical care, our primary mission is different.

We focus on preventing medical situations from becoming emergencies in the first place.

What we do:

We are building a mobile medical environment that brings care directly to the patient – reducing unnecessary strain on emergency responders and hospitals.

Our services include:

Alternative treatment options for non-emergency medical situations
Follow-up care after hospital discharge
Pop-up medical services at remote locations
Inclement weather patrols and wellness checks
Outreach to vulnerable communities
Non-violent crisis intervention
Community event medical stand-by
Community education and training
…

In short, we intervene early – before a 911 call becomes necessary.

How We Do It

All care is delivered under established EMS protocols approved by the State of New Mexico. In addition, we are working under state supervision to expand Community EMS capabilities, creating new pathways for flexible, patient-centered out-of-hospital care.

Advanced practitioners are available on scene and through telemedicine – ensuring safe, responsible, and innovative treatment options.

Why It Matters

Emergency services across the country are being asked to do more than ever – responding to everything from minor discomforts to life-threatening trauma.

We believe Community EMS is part of the solution.

By addressing non-emergent needs in the field, we:
